Water Challenge

Balance, Dreams, Emotion, Will, Action
This weekend i spent my days at a joyous celebration of buddhas enlightenment; wildheart gathering, i entered it with no set intentions only an open heart and through countless loving interactions with loving people i found my self awarness and with this some level of freedom from the constraits of my ego. I was singing as loud as i ever did and having profound insights into my life with total strangers, except i knew they were my family part of a large network contained within spaceship earth. Here are some Clips of the site there are also shots on my Flickr:

I try to innovate in my attitudes
My inspiration comes from the people around me. Having the festvial experience where a constant interchange between yourself and others creates a dialogue within yourself shows the interconectivity of human nature. In ritual we bind our souls and collective experience and the collective unconscious is awakened and brought to the forefront of our inner vision. This week I had an experience with my soul brothers when i made a ‘Transient Temple’ and burnt it down in a representation of the life and death of the great cosmos.

I am ready for action

A new challenge awaits me at Sunrise festival, a new temple and new faces. ALL, TOGETHER, NOW.

1
I totally have this quality, because i see things everywhere to prove the world is shifting consciousness. There are concrete facts out there: Architect Michael Reynolds who builds experimental eco-sustainable houses in New Mexico out of trash tyres and mud, not concrete!

2
I have part of this quality, because my dreams and will are strong as diamonds but my current situation with 'The S.S. Snynx' Unpublished leaves me feeling further action is needed. I intend to right this wrong with a kickstarter project campaign to raise money for the publishing. My girlfriend is the Snake to my Lynx that makes us the Snynx... She is so very important to me and publishing the Snynx is something i am waiting for her to finish university to begin. So everything will soon fall into place as she finishes tomorrow!

3
I totally have this quality, because, we area generation with a  new power in our hands and it has been extremely important in the arab spring, wikileaks and other signifiers of power shifts from the privilaged few to the newly enlightened masses. I started a youtube channel when i was 17, and sharing my artistic creations for 5 years now on CAVEMAN                 >>>>>>>>>>>> follow the link on the right!

4
I have this quality, because graduating from illustration has taught me to express my dreams visually and much of my illustration work is based around a central figure exploring, many aspects of human life, intervention, physically exploring jungle worlds. My new title in 'The Blissful adventures of Snake and Lynx (Snynx)' series is called, 'S.F. The tramp City 2020' a story where three Lynx brothers travel to San Francisco a Mecca for homeless and transform the city into a network of caves and hills connecting the kindred spirit of the people living there.

5
I totally have this quality, because lateral thinking has always been my strong point. From Mr Lincolns math classes in school where we I drew dozens of M.C. Escher-esque impossible shapes on isometric paper. To the logic puzzles and bottle puzzles where ingenuity and creative thinking were the key to solving relatively simple problems depending on the perspective you could imagine a solution from. For me creativity is also a combination of dedication and perseverance i thrive on challenges and have a never say die attitude.

6
I have part of this quality, because i feel it is important to have aspirational heros and characters to emulate so i would say only through these people have i ever been able to innovate and constantly re-evaluate my attitudes. People over the years I have been inspired by: Gandhi, Jung, Osho, Eckhart Tolle, Quentin Blake, Roald Dahl, Michael Reynolds, Alan Watts, Arthur C. Clarke, Miro, Mondrian, Picasso, Alex Gray, Buckminster Fuller, Terence Mckenna and many more.

Harlan Emil Gruber

7
I totally have this quality, because my values and beliefs are the unknown! I recently read Arthur C. Clarke's The City and the Stars, a sci-fi novel where humans have advanced so far there is no death or disease having a vision of the future is the future. If nobody dreamed of the future everything would stay the same, this is the power of imagination, where we are right now is peoples imagination. 'The doorstep to the temple of wisdom is a knowledge of our own ignorance.' we must drop our preconceived ideas of this world and start a fresh 'unknown' path to discover the true potential of our values and beliefs.

8
I totally have this quality, because gesture is a 40% of communication and body language or slapstick comedy is a universal language. On the other hand drawing in the dirt can be a more direct form of information communication. Having a visual background, symbols and signifiers are like a language to me. Making dens on the streets of Brighton i was having conversations with homeless and street wanderers that can 'see' you for what you are trying to give to the world and I also 'see' them as people; without the same opportunity or time to be able to take a step back from their situation and view the overall world perspective. This unspoken communication is stronger than any form of language. It unlocked a certain passion and innocence from people with a natural 'front' to dealing with harsh environments.

9
I totally have this quality, because I am mobilised, I have no ties in this world, my family have given me the launchpad to create beautiful things it is now time to wander off into a crazy world full of beautiful inspirations and start a new path. My formal education is over, now i can focus on a project that fits my current aspirations and GSA/WWW is the perfect springboard for mobilising myself and others to start the ball rolling.

10
I totally have this quality, because it come naturally to me to share with three brothers i have always shared my knowledge from an early age i coached my brothers at cricket, rugby, football and any sport we could get our hands on in the back garden. Through to university where as a class we shared similar themes in our work my colleagues were my closest inspiration and pushed me further than before. I know how much of a difference the small things make. In Japan it is said that 1000 paper cranes brings a miracle, teaching a thousand people to make a crane in my lifetime may bring them to teaching a thousand each so exponentially everyone is effected and a part of this miracle. Life.

Intro

hellosh

Hellosh! Howdy!

My name is George. I am a Lynx. I have two younger brothers, Arthur and Henry. I am a recent graduate from Brighton University, Since graduating I have been writing a children's book called 'THE S.S. SNYNX'!

Track the progress of The Snynx Project on:

I dream of changing peoples lives through stories told imaginatively with powerful metaphors for the future of our species and planet.  I am a mindful positron, making my way through the galaxy of sonic particles spreading my knowledge, happiness and joy.

My strengths are my vision, compassion and dogged determination... my family knows me as a dreamer and my university saw me as a person with vision and a genuine innocence to change perceptions of art and life. This grew from my final project in university where i built several den structures on the streets of Brighton, temporary shelters for homeless and street walkers.

Construction from George Hayford-Taylor on Vimeo.

It was a struggle against police and local authorities, I even built the mothership on my roof in the middle of the pavilion gardens; with intentions of making it the centre of operations and creative workshops. Landlords soon intervened siting it as a health and safety risk. This project now continues in a festival format where i can use Sunrise festival as a sketchbook for future 'Transient Temples'.

For hobbies I practise Yoga, Meditation, Read, Write poetry, Paint and Draw.

I have a particular affinity with street art and interventions. I first discovered this world of street expression when i stumbled upon a man named Tomasso, conducting a project called Ludistan: Urban games for the street mischief. It was a project for his masters in Anthropology where he had gathered a following like the pied piper walking the streets finding willing people to help him turn the streets into a colourful joyful experience with home-made instruments and it all culminated by painting a bus stop as a tropical island. Tomasso was arrested, so the team gathered at the seafront making much noise and music... eventually Tomasso was freed!
